Neil Hind is currently the Head of Commercial Consulting for NHS Shared Business Services. The role is to look at supporting NHS organisations with commercial and procurement transformation and support. More recently he was the Chief Procurement Officer for  NHS Cheshire & Merseyside ICS and has been supporting Net Zero for Carbon & Social Value Projects for NHS Greater Manchester.

Neil has worked across various private and public sector organisations advising and delivering on various procurement, programme and sustainability programmes. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply and holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool.

He has previously held the roles of the Head of Procurement for the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, was Head of Procurement at NHS England whilst implementing a new Commercial and Procurement team, and was the GM NHS Procurement Programme Director, setting up one of the first ICS procurement teams within the NHS.

The Operations Director role is a new one for the NHS Workforce Alliance, reporting to the Executive Board and responsible to all five member organisations. It was established as part of an emerging Project Management Office function to ensure the Alliance has a balance of full-time dedicated resources as well as allocated time from the talented people in the commercial, communications, finance, and data teams across the Alliance members.

I have more than 30 years’ experience in project management. Fifteen years of which were spent in managing United Nations agencies funded health and other development projects in both urban and rural communities. I am highly skilled in conceptualising and developing programmes and projects which led to consultancies with among others the World Bank - Economic Development Institute. I have produced project proposals and business cases which were funded by both International and National funding agencies

Gareth is the Sustainability Clinical and Innovation Lead at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust where he leads on staff engagement by growing the Green Community Network and Green Champions Programme, decarbonising clinical workstreams and reducing unnecessary clinical waste in the delivery of the Trust’s Green Plan. He has a special interest in sustainability entrepreneurship and innovation and assists startup founders with climate change and circular economy solutions with a focus on healthcare. His career vision is to plant the seeds of a regenerative economic paradigm shift that will enable both human society and nature to thrive together.

For over 25 years I have been implementing commercial strategies for start ups and larger multi national organisations across Europe building strong commercial pipelines for long term growth and investment.
