David has recently joined NHS Shared Business Service’s Consulting team as the Service Delivery Lead - Major Programmes.  He is a chartered Civil Engineer, with 30 years’ experience working in the construction and property sectors around the world.  The majority of his career he has been with the public sector working in Defence, Higher Education, Central Government, and Health.  He started his career in the Army serving with the Royal Engineers for over 20 years and he has been the Director of Estates and Facilities for a number of high-profile institutions, delivering a high number of major projects and programmes.  He holds Fellowships in both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management.  He always looks to act as an ambassador to these two professions and help shape the future of the built environment industry.  He sits on a number of national and international committees and advisory groups. He has written a number of technical guides and standards in the areas of Facilities Management and published papers, articles and book chapters on the subject of Indoor Environmental Quality, health and wellbeing.

Stephanie Parker is a Senior Advisor at the Energy Systems Catapult.  She works in the Complex Sites team helping predominantly public sector organisations deliver Net Zero.  Most recently, Stephanie’s work has focused on the Public Sector Decarbonisation Guidance, a free to access suite of guidance, tools and checklists that makes it simpler and quicker for the public sector to decarbonise their buildings and estates.  Stephanie’s background is in the Civil Service, where she worked on policy and strategy across a number of departments over ten plus years.  Latterly she worked on decarbonising commercial and industrial buildings in the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy, now the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

Jane is the North East Regional Director at Community Health Partnerships and leads the CHP team across the North East and Yorkshire. Within this role, Jane is a Board member of six LIFTCos and the CHP representative on the North East ICS Estates and Capital Boards.

Jane is a qualified GP and has worked in health and social care for over 25 years. Jane’s ethos is about helping people, and constantly striving for better outcomes.

Jane has been leading System transformation initiatives for around 15 years, which has included a variety of roles across acute major capital developments and primary care / community programmes. Jane’s past experience also includes working as part of the NHS England Estates Delivery Team.

When Jane’s not working, she loves to get out and about in the countryside surrounding where she lives (Peak District). Jane’s favourite activities are fell running, mountain biking or hiking with friends and family.

For me, sustainable development is about working well together now, for a better future, and wellbeing outcomes. I have worked since 1989 assisting my employers on actions to reduce dependency on none renewables resources and reducing emissions of greenhouses gas emissions from everyday activities without compromising services delivery needs and quality.

My interest and knowledge are strongly embedded in building services engineering with specialist knowledge in computer aided engineering, environmental management, sustainable development and climate change. In this regard, my working life has been invested on strategies, and practical solutions for reducing wasteful practices and taking mitigation actions through operational work plans and designs for delivering resilience, reliability and efficiency in the built environment. This is with a fundamental belief that suitability based investment actions are net positive income generating activities. Hence, I am a strong advocate for embedding sustainable development principle in everyday decision making activities and on the principles of invest to accrue for a better future for everyone.

Her scholarship focused on driving sustainable changes in dialysis and kidney transplantation locally and nationally. Her strong leadership influenced a wide range of practitioners to adopt greener kidney care across different settings. She will throw light on her plans for a new Renal Centre.}

Carl-Magnus von Behr is an industrial engineer with a focus on interdisciplinary problem-solving within healthcare management. His academic and practical work aims to enhance healthcare systems through innovation and operational efficiency.

In collaboration with AI specialists from the University of Cambridge, von Behr co-founded innex.ai. This venture introduces an AI-driven platform designed to streamline information retrieval and facilitate knowledge sharing among NHS Estates and Facilities Management staff.

I've worked at Alder Hey Children's Hospital for 36 years as a nurse and RCN trade union rep.
I have previously served as a Staff Governor, and currently, I’m working within the COVID team in the Trust. Furthermore, many of you will know of my work as a trade union rep at Alder Hey.

Well in this ‘post’ COVID period, and the huge changes to the NHS structures and funding, it is important that nursing has a strong voice on the Board of Governors, and our nurses can influence the direction of, and the future of nursing in the Trust.
